What a brilliant few weeks it’s been for the WCP team – full of teamwork, learning, laughter, and lots of mud! 
We now have a SHED! Big thanks to TCV and Mike from Whitby Hall Gardens for coming over to help us out, along with Steve, Si, and Steve from Stamford Street Allotments – legends! Our fab young people got stuck in and learned some awesome new skills with the guidance of our experienced crew 
We celebrated with a lovely lunch together – because hard work deserves good food and great company!
We’re also nearly finished building the back of the shelter area – it’s looking amazing. Huge thanks to Jon for all your help, it wouldn’t look this good without you! 
We’ve got a SINK in the cabin now – goodbye muddy hands everywhere! 
We teamed up with Edward Street Allotments and Westminster Gardens to help clear away the overgrown vegetation around the trees at the Elim Pentecostal Church yard – so good to work together for our green spaces! 
There’s been LOTS of seeding and weeding this week – shoutout to Will,Holly,Jonathan Tommy, Connor, and Julie for doing a fantastic job! The gardens are blooming beautifully! 
Good work on the litter picking and weeding this week in our local area. The whole field done and alleyway Thomas, Barb, Holly and Ryan, thank you for all your hard work 
We even managed a game of badminton when the sun showed up 
Painted plant pots, played games, and pulled up huge turnips and potatoes – yum! 
We had a brilliant BBQ to celebrate Holly’s birthday – complete with cake and karaoke! 
(And yes… Barbara got stuck in a bin bag 
don’t ask, but it was hilarious!)
We’re always up to something fun, rewarding, and a little bit muddy – come and volunteer with us! Everyone’s welcome, you’ll learn loads, meet great people, and make a real difference
